Position: Safety Officer – Telecom
Location: Anna Nagar, Chennai
Experience: 3–5 Years
Salary: Up to ₹30,000 per month
Qualification: Diploma in EEE / B.Tech in Electrical or related field
Certification: NEBOSH IGC – Mandatory
Work Mode: On-site / Field-based

  Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer – Telecom to ensure a safe and compliant working environment across telecom project sites. The candidate will be responsible for conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, implementing HSE policies, conducting safety training, investigating incidents, and ensuring proper use of PPE and safety procedures.

   Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
• Perform risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and incident investigations.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by technicians and site personnel.
• Monitor safety practices related to working at height, rigging, lifting, and electrical activities.
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, inspection reports, and incident records.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and applicable HSE standards.
• Coordinate with site teams and technicians to address safety concerns.
• Report safety violations, incidents, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Promote a strong safety culture across telecom project sites.

  Eligibility

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or B.Tech in Electrical / related field.
• 3–5 years of HSE/Safety experience in the telecom industry.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of working-at-height, rigging, lifting, and electrical safety.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Candidates should be comfortable working at telecom/project sites.

  Salary

Up to ₹30,000 per month, based on experience and skills.
