Job Summary

Velgha is looking for an experienced and strategic Assistant General Manager – Home Market Development & Urban Channels to lead sales, distribution, and urban market development initiatives in Coimbatore. The role will focus on strengthening distribution networks, developing modern trade channels, driving category growth, and establishing Coimbatore as a flagship urban market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for the urban and home market.
• Drive sales growth and market expansion across Coimbatore.
• Develop and manage distribution networks and distributor relationships.
• Strengthen presence across modern trade and urban retail channels.
• Identify new business opportunities and market expansion areas.
• Drive category growth through effective sales and marketing initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
• Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders.
• Set sales targets and monitor achievement against business objectives.
• Lead and mentor sales teams to achieve revenue and market-growth targets.
• Develop market plans and ensure effective execution.
• Track sales performance, distribution coverage, and channel productivity.

• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and business development capabilities.
